Evrogen has launched the improved variants of green and far-red monomeric fluorescent proteins, TagGFP2 and mKate2. The advantageous properties of the new reporters make them an ideal choice for in vivo protein labeling, whole body imaging, FRET and multicolor applications.
We have also expanded the collection of ready-to-use expression vectors for labeling the cellular organelles and proteins.
(April, 2009)

TagFPs collection of monomeric tags for protein labeling is expanded with novel blue fluorescent protein TagBFP. TagBFP possesses bright blue fluorescence with excitation/emission maxima at 402 and 457 nm, characterized by high photostability and extremely high pH-stability. Narrow fluorescence emission peak of TagBFP provides for accurate and easy spectral separation with cyan and green fluorescent proteins and makes it a preferable tag for multicolor labeling. Good overlap between the emission spectrum of TagBFP and the absorbance spectra of TagGFP2 allows using these two proteins as a FRET pair.
